Live From Richmond, It’s Saturday Night
Last weekend I was at Gregg’s house having drinks and the week before that I was in Los Angeles partying with Adam. This weekend I’m sitting on my couch watching TV. Well, I’m actually laying on my couch and technically I’m watching TV shows on Hulu, but I digress.
I got paid yesterday, so normally I would be out on the town spending lots of money. Not this week. Nope. I’m being good. I really want to be in Atlanta next weekend and unless my company agrees to pay for my trip (or reimburse me) I’ll need to save my own cash. It might sound strange to expect work to compensate me for a personal trip, but they do it for lots of other people. Mostly those who live in Michigan and work in Virginia with me. I live in Georgia and work in Virginia. I don’t see the difference, but again… I digress.
Is it weird that I’ve been watching “The Mary Tyler Moore” show on Hulu? I remember watching it on Nick at Nite when I was a kid. Mary is so pretty. Actually, she’s prettier than I remember.
I also have SNL on my TV. Kelly Clarkson just performed and now they’re doing a “Big Love” skit. That’s another great show. I haven’t had HBO in a while, so I had to get caught up on the newest season the last time I was in Baltimore (my grandmother has OnDemand).
Sometimes it feels a little lonely here. It’s my choice, as I haven’t done enough to make solid friends in Richmond. I guess that’s just a side note. I don’t really have anything else to say about the subject.
Anyway… I’m still here and choosing my attitude.
