I Seem To Write Less When Things Are Good

I wonder why that is… I mean, I seem to spout off forever when I’m not feeling well, or I’m mad at someone, or if something isn’t going well in my life. When things are good, I don’t seem to write as much. This week seems to be a good example.

Rami and I had a great trip to Savannah and then he stayed through Tuesday. Since he stayed an extra day we had the opportunity to see Drag-a-Maki at Nickiemoto’s on Monday night, where he treated me to dinner. Sunday night we stayed in and he made a huge meal for us including salmon, shrimp, scallops, and potatoes. Everything was delicious and it was so sweet of him to make such an amazing meal… for me. He’s so good to me. :)

Yesterday I attended an industry trade show. I had a great time and saw lots of friends and former co-workers, plus Hollie came and we hung out together all afternoon. I won a $50 gift card and 4 tickets to the AT&T Classic golf tournament going on this weekend. Hollie and I are going to try to go tomorrow afternoon.

Today I’m running around the city marketing three of our new communities. I haven’t done marketing like this in about 2 months and I forgot how much I enjoy it. It’s fun to meet new people and to go all around town during the day. I’ll probably be doing more of this over the next few weeks… hopefully my car will hold out. That’s the one thing I don’t like about having to do outside marketing - driving my car, putting extra mileage on it, and burning gas. Yes, I get a car allowance, but it’s not that much, especially with gas at almost $4/gallon.

Anyway, back to all the good things happening right now…

Rami will be back to see me next week. I’m enjoying my job. I’ve been feeling very well rested and more relaxed than I have in a long time. I guess I’m living life right.
