Hmmm…
This has been my new response in situations where I have more to say, but don’t feel like adding my two cents because of the backlash that inevitably follows. In most cases I enjoy being controversial (to some extent, but nothing major… it’s not fun being an instigator). As I’ve aged, though, I’ve found myself shying away from controversy and I think that’s a good thing.
My most recent use of “Hmmm…” has been on Yelp. I used to feel trusted by the users of that site and for the most part I still do, but there have been some newcomers to the group that don’t necessarily agree with what I have to say. I’m okay with that. Seriously, I think it’s great that Yelp has grown and others have come to join the dialogue. My fear of being misunderstood comes out in a big way, especially when it comes to electronic communication. Email seems to be my specific source of issues at the moment, some my fault and some due to misunderstanding by the other

Not that I needed to be cheered up, but I have been doing pretty well making low risk choices and I’m glad that HBO is on my side because I might have decided to go have a drink this afternoon if Gohadn’t come on.
I remember the first time I saw this movie. It was with Candy and I think we may have watched it at her house… I’m a little hazy on the details. I just remember that we kept laughing about the line “it’s a MIATA!” Maybe you have to see it to appreciate it…
